Lee Broom is one of the UK’s leading product & interior designers. Since 2007 he has released over 75 furniture and lighting products, which he designs and manufactures under his own label and has created more than 20 products for other brands. He has also designed over 40 commercial retail, restaurant, bar and residential interiors.
He has won more than 20 awards including the prestigious British Designer of the Year Award in 2012 and won his 4th award in 3 consecutive years in the British Design Awards for his renowned lighting product, the ‘Crystal Bulb’ in 2013.
In April 2015 Lee Broom received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the UK’s highest accolade for business success. The company received the award in the category of International Trade, in recognition of achieving significant international growth and increased year on year export figures.
A supporter of British manufacturing techniques, Broom designs, manufactures and retails his own collections, in addition to collaborating with leading brands including Christian Louboutin, Mulberry and Matthew Williamson.
Having started out in theatre school - a beginning which has greatly influenced the sense of drama and narrative that his collections create - Broom’s career took a change of direction after he won a fashion design competition at the age of 17. This led him to meet and then go onto work for the legendary designer Vivienne Westwood, after which he studied for a degree in fashion design at Central St Martins. Fashion is still a great source of inspiration and The Guardian commented, “Lee Broom is to furniture what Marc Jacobs or Tom Ford are to fashion.”
During his degree, Broom provided décor advice to a number of independent bars across London, which cemented an organic move into interior design. In 2007 the Lee Broom label was launched with his first furniture collection entitled ‘Neo Neon’ which received critical acclaim and since then he has launched two new collections each year during Milan Design Week and The London Design Festival, which sell globally. His products are now sold in over 120 stores and in 40 countries worldwide.
Lee Broom has been described by The Financial Times as “Among the most respected British Talents”.

The truly innovative begins in the details. Our method embodies years of research in the various disciplines in paper marbling, which have spanned the globe. The arts of Suminagashi and Ebru, emanating from Japan and Turkey centuries ago are both evident in our inaugural collection.
Subsequent collections build on these traditions, incorporating new techniques, materials and technologies, exploring the possibilities offered by gradients, metallics, woven natural fibers, and recently, NASA telescope imagery. It is our expansion of traditional practices that makes Calico Wallpaper truly unique. By drawing on the past, present and future, we create something entirely new.
Calico Wallpaper began with the inspiration to move art beyond the frame and incorporate its elements into everyday interior spaces. Through experimentation with the re-appropriation of traditional art forms, and the digital enlargement of unique, handmade patterns, the idea was born to create custom fit, non-repeating wall murals.
Balancing background and foreground, texture, color and pattern to create immersive environments, we are continually exploring the expressive possibilities of living space. We work to blend the beauty, play and abstractions of art with the functional utility of design, thereby creating a product that inspires and invigorates the backdrops of our lives.
Calico Wallpaper was founded by Rachel and Nick Cope.

Since our beginning in 2003, Mallory Custom Lighting has firmly established itself as the supply destination of discerning designers seeking to complement their projects with the best that bespoke lighting can offer.
We are proud to have worked with hundreds of clients on custom projects, from simple and delicate Venetian chandeliers, to large architectural lighting installations, including complex Hotel chandeliers and clean angular modern custom lighting designs. This is thanks to our close relationships, cultivated over many years with expert Italian lighting designers and skilled lighting manufacturers.
You won’t find our products on the high street. We are proud to have sourced our knowledge and ranges through years of field work, by visiting all our manufacturers personally.
Back in 2003, our family run business launched the first Italian lighting collection to those who appreciate the finest quality lighting. The "Made in Italy" marque means so much to us because it encompasses the values that are important to you and to us: Excellence in design, innovation and quality of manufacture.
Over the years, the market has become flooded with imitations, and we are often asked why we choose not to offer such low cost reproductions. The only answer to that question is that we care dearly about our reputation as the "go to" company for Italian lighting, and we are unwilling to offer our valued customers pale replicas of the real thing. We have come to know our clientele well; you are the connoisseurs and we will only offer you the best.
Thanks to our small and dedicated team of buyers, and a combined experience of over 4 decades in the industry, we are able to offer you the most comprehensive range of quality hand-crafted lighting direct from the Italian manufacturers.
