H12 is a global collection of art and lifestyle hotels, that was created with the idea of putting “a bed into an art gallery”. H12 works with a concept story of 12 local and international artists for each of its iconic properties to create a “Glocal” atmosphere and a stimulating experience. The number 12 also represents the hours of the day and night, months in the year and the eastern and western zodiac signs. The “H” in H12 stands for the passionate heart of the hosts who make friends out of guests. We create happy, humble, hugging, healthy, humorous, homemade and hip experiences.
Walter Junger is the creator and CEO of this global Austrian hotel brand, and started the company in 2012 with the H12original on top of the Alps in the southern Austrian Province of Carinthia.
In 2014, the Chinese hotel group, Plateno Group, was looking to gain a foothold in the international arena. Alex Zheng, the co-chairman and founder of 7 Days Inn and Plateno was looking for visionary hotel projects. He came across the art and lifestyle hotel concept by Walter Junger and felt an instant affinity, following a joint venture between Walter Junger, Alex Zheng and Plateno Group was formed on 12.12.2014.
The joint venture company, H12 (HK) Ltd. was established, and its headquarter was set-up in Hong Kong. At the same time, regional offices were opened in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Berlin, Salzburg and Nairobi. Since then, nine management contracts and investment partnerships have been signed across four continents.
H12 stands for new luxury. No pompous marble lobbies and no crystal chandeliers unless hanging from a tree for a romantic dinner for two. The locations are remote and spectacular or urban and iconic. Walter’s motto says it all: “Put service first and success will follow”. The naked truth or more commonly known the company vision is for H12 to grow its portfolio to 30 unique art and lifestyle hotels. Iconic places, stimulating art and warm, relaxed yet efficient service making friends out of H12 guests. Offering locally grown tasty food, the brand’s own wines and cool music, creates a synergic mix of East and West.

Picasso says: “There is the artist that makes a yellow spot out of the sun, but there is also the artist that creates the sun out of a yellow spot”.

There is plenty to gaze at as you walk the decorated marble walls and monolithic spiral staircase of the hotel. Behind the bar, Jimi Hendrix gazes at you as you sit down to a refreshing drink. The piece, known as Mr Brainwash, is a wonderful mosaic of the musicians own records. The Ballroom entrance welcomes you with artworks from a private collection. A piece called the Homeless Man by Yinka Shonibare stands in the lobby. This was part of an exhibition in London to raise awareness for issues affecting homeless people. In place of the man’s head, is a black globe with a quote from the novel The Adventures of Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens.
Other works include an interpretation of The Last Supper by Chinese artist Wang Nengtao and One Hour, by Bulgarian artist Pravdolyub Ivanov, which is a collection of 60 photographs. Look out for photographs of rock legends David Bowie and Keith Richards too, by Mark Seliger. With this eclectic mix on offer, and more, you will definitely find art to suit your taste.

Hotel Akti was founded in 1932 by our great-grandmother, as the very first Hotel on Skiathos.
Ever since, four generations have been taking over the business, modernizing and giving it part of their own touch, always remaining true to the original traditional philosophy..
Founded in 1932 under the name “Hotel Akti” (meaning coast) by Maria Pana-Bogiatzi, it operates constantly until August 1944, when it is burnt down by the german occupants, just before their departure.
Back then, the Hotel is basically “sitting” inside the water, overlooking the east. Its capacity is 6 double rooms and it is the only hotel on the island.
In 1949 it is rebuilt from scratch, by the couple Ourania Vogiatzis-Lazos and Dimitrios Lazos. It is completed in 1952 and operated under the direction of Ourania Vogiatzis-Lazou as a “third class” hotel, with a capacity of 10 double and 2 single rooms.
The couple’s (Ourania and Dimitrios Lazos) 4 children are born and raised inside the hotel. The family uses the ground floor of the three storey building as a residence and the upper two floors serve as the hotel.
Renovated by the owner in 1960, 2 WC’s and a bathroom are added on each of the two floors, while all bedrooms are equipped with wash basins.
In 1988 it is reerected entirely by the new owners, Maria Lazou-Tsomou and Angelica Lazou-Prevezanou, as a new four-story building, designed by architect Yiannis Tsomos. In 1991 it is reopened as a hotel with its original name “Hotel Akti”.
Today the hotel is still in its original location within the town of Skiathos, directly facing the new promenade, the sea and the harbour on the east coast. It has 13 double rooms and a fully equipped 2-bedroom apartment suite with kitchen and living room. The Hotel undergoes its latest transformations in 2011 and 2012 with a major renovation of the interior design of the guestrooms.

Canvas Boutique Hotel Philippines - the walls whisper this: staying at Canvas awakens an innate instinct for adventure.
Trust us, you’ll need more than a moment to take it all in. Canvas is exactly what it’s called—look up to lights that mimic the stalactites of the Underground River, look down to intricate Machuca tiles, look left and right and center as hand-painted wall art narrates stories of the island, live and in color. All the visual imagery will make you want to soak it up—whether it’s as you kick your feet back in your spacious room, share plates of dishes at the vibrant restaurant, or take a dip in the outdoor pool. Whatever you choose, keep your eyes wide open and your heart set to experience adventure — it’s how we do it at Canvas.
STORY OF THE WALLS
If walls could talk, what would you want it to say? The walls at Canvas speak volumes, and—quite literally—every storey has a story. Weaving that narrative into life were a team of visual artists who rendered Palawan culture, life forms and mythology onto colorful, vibrant reverbs of the island's most celebrated cultural traits. The result is a refreshing surge of life, breathed to perfectly weave into the hotel's contemporary fixtures. To wit, the walls whisper this: staying at Canvas awakens an innate instinct for adventure.
Start from the ground up and allow the Canvas walls speak to you. The first floor, dubbed Underworld, is painted with otherworldly elements that'll leave the observer daunted. As you reach the second landing, drown out in awe as you explore Under The Sea, teeming with water creatures floating in colorful concrete. Trek the steps to Land at the third floor, as you imagine yourself at a hike through earthy ground and rich soil, and bask at the summit in the top and fourth floor, aptly called Sky and Mountain, where airy explorations await. See, your adventure has already begun—and you've only just arrived at the hotel.

A place for contemporary explorers of life seeking the intrigues and mysteries of Peruvian culture, geography and nature, Hotel B caters to traditionalists looking for an authentic historic atmosphere and to shrewd urban explorers willing to immerse themselves in the city´s contemporary social and cultural scene.
An arts-boutique Hotel in the heart of a bohemian revival neighborhood, housing a unique art collection of its own, Hotel B is surrounded by neighboring galleries and linked directly to the Lucia de la Puente Gallery, which will provide guests with opportunities for private viewings, special events and a connection to Lima’s blossoming art scene.
Originally built in the style of the Belle Époque, the mansion served as a seaside retreat during the presidency of Augusto Leguia in the 1920s. Its architectural features and flair capture the celebratory spirit of Peru’s centennial, which permeated life in the capital city throughout the era of its construction.
Famed French architect Claude Sahut, lauded for his work remodeling portions of the Government Palace, along with many of Lima’s main avenues, parks, theaters and other public buildings and spaces, was originally commissioned to design the property as a summer retreat for the Garcia Bedoya family. Construction was completed in 1914 and initially showcased imported Italian marble and exotic woods, along with an ornate façade, stratospherically high ceilings featuring teatinas (a unique style of skylight favored locally), open balconies and expansive terraces.
The Arts Boutique Hotel B restoration and reconstruction team includes sculptors from the Fine Arts Academy and a legion of carpenters under the supervision of an Italian master woodworker. The goal of the project was to preserve the original structure while introducing a complimentary three-story annex to the property, ushering it into the modern era in its new role as a boutique hotel. The INC (Peru’s Historic Building Society) considers the renovation a new standard for historic restoration in Lima and beyond.
Surrounded by galleries and artists’ studios, it houses a unique art collection of its own and is linked directly to the Lucia de la Puente Gallery, where guests can enjoy private viewings, special events and a vital connection to Lima’s emerging art scene.
The heart of a bohemian revival neighborhood
Lima’s most vibrant district. Now home to many of Peru’s best-known artists, musicians, designers and photographers, Barranco first emerged in the 19th-century as a fashionable seaside retreat for Limeño aristocracy. They summered here amidst the salty air and a drier, warmer microclimate, as the high cliffs of Chorrillos shield Barranco from Lima’s cold and humid southern winds. Families like the Garcia Bedoyas built grand Belle Époqueand Republican style houses around the area’s landscaped parks and along elegant avenues. When 20th century urban expansion encroached upon this elite enclave, those wealthy Limeñans moved out and squatters took up residence in the abandoned, decaying mansions.
Barranco’s fortunes shifted again in the new millennium thanks to a dynamic migration among Lima’s arts community, including fashion photographer Mario Testino, Nobel Prize winning author Mario Vargas Llosa and gallerist Lucia de la Puente. Fresh coats of paint on many of the area’s most charming colonial houses signal this vibrant revival.

“Diyabubula means “bubbling fountain” – there is a bubbling spring on the property. Diyabubula also symbolizes the power of the earth and the creativity bubbling up in this magical location.”
Diyabubula, the Barberyn Art & Jungle Hideaway, is a small luxury lodge, a boutique hotel consisting of five villas, located near the town of Dambulla, in central Sri Lanka. Renowned Sri Lankan artist Laki Senanayake designed the place as a hideaway to compliment his water garden. He chose 100 year old railway sleepers as basic building material. This wood, seasoned by sun and rain over a century, has been combined with sleek and beautiful timber sourced from all over Sri Lanka, and hand-crafted right at Diyabubula.
We share this beautiful oasis with Laki: he continues to live and work in his minimalist space.

From the great wide world to the smallest detailTHE OMNIA – All individual parts come together here high on the rock to form an atmospheric whole. The location, the architecture and the design are one component. But the most important element is you, our guest, with your individual wishes and needs to which we respond with personal service in an informal way. Here you should feel at ease, you should quite simply be yourself. This is the place for unvorgettable moments in calmth and harmony. Welcome!
THE OMNIA is the contemporary interpretation of the traditional mountain lodge. Here in the Swiss Alps, the mountain lodge, a quintessentially American concept, has been reinvented for its European environment by the New York based architect Ali Tayar (1959 – 2016). This dialogue between two cultures was the starting point for the design.
While the materials and the craftsmanship reflect the tradition of the Valais, the furnishings are inspired by a warm, handcrafted modernism. This era in 20th century design is revisited in THE OMNIA in the works of a group of European born, American designers whose European roots heavily influenced the American scene. They include Mies van der Rohe, Raymond Loewy, Vladimir Kagan and Eero Saarinen. Their works are complemented by USM Modular Furniture, which is recognised as a design classic in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. But most of the interior furnishings and fittings are custom-made designs by Ali Tayar, conceived to meet the requirements of the mountain lodge and handcrafted by local cabinet makers.
This subtle interplay between design classics and custom-made products underscores the basic concept of the mountain lodge – THE OMNIA is the fusion of a multitude of different elements and influences to make a single harmonious whole.
Here you can forget time.
