SFA is an architectural design studio based in Dublin and Madrid.
The practice has been working internationally and collaborating on public projects, mainly cultural and sports & leisure since 2008 and provides full architectural, landscape design and masterplanning services.
The practice places emphasis on the connection between architecture and landscape and how the space in between then is not fixed but is adaptable, changing overtime due to demands of a dynamic society. Changes, collaborations and dependencies which fine tune the design.
This is sustainable architecture for us, one which adapts to its context and function both at the moment of conception and overtime, being used and enjoyed year after year, in different ways by different people.
An open source attitude is adopted and embraced. Conceptual processes are critically assessed based on their functionality, aesthetics and connection to the physical and social context. The limits of architecture, landscape and infrastructure are blurred and their definitions interchangeable.
The most important aspect of our work however is the ability of each project to embody spaces which surprise and delight. The emotive value of the idea for us is the success of the project. Being functional contextual and beautiful are prerequisites. We will only be satisfied providing imaginative design solutions, with a sense of place. Memorable not iconic with the capability to be engaged with, and make someone’s day.

3LHD is a collaborative architectural studio, particularly interested in the integration of architecture, art and (urban) landscape, an approach which has resulted in a series of projects and realizations in Croatia and abroad. 3LHD has an integrative approach to projects and believes that in addition to functional, architecture must respond to many other issues. Basic principles of the practice are woven into the modernity of the early 21st century.
Our design approach is each time with different realities, and with many different parameters that we give ourselves and which are given to us, it is integral, analytical and iterative. It is based on modification of opinions of different people, that we seek to bring into production, these are various specialists, experts in various areas and with them we try to achieve highest quality. This is where our approach is like that of a producer and we often bring ourselves in the role of a director or a DJ who performs the best editing. In such a way we investigate the most appropriate concept and try to create new value. We always make a kind of a prototype, which is sometimes, like in automobile industry, a redesign, and sometimes a research undertaking.

Elenberg Fraser – not your average architecture firm. An integrated design practice operating across the Asia-Pacific region, our buildings prove that good design leads to economic, social and cultural benefits. But what makes us so special?
Invention excites us. We address the needs of our clients, building users and the community by identifying the specific needs of each project. We ask the right questions without imposing pre-determined solutions and then we use our 6Ds process to take us to the invention stage. This process has opened people’s eyes to impossible realities. Who knew buildings could be both design-driven and market-driven?
Rather than applying a house style, our buildings are conceived in their own right, responding to their specific site, location and purpose. We don’t generalise across projects either – our job is to uncover and express the unique identity of each project, through built form.
The outcome is sensory – architecture that people can feel, not just see. Architecture that makes people think, acknowledging the origins of architecture and its plethora of influences, both ancient and modern.
Talented individuals and inspired collaboration form the driving force of our studios. Everyone brings their unique perspective and skills to each project, but most importantly their dedication to producing the best outcome for all stakeholders in the built environment.
We are conscious of the impact our buildings have on the city, its inhabitants and the environment. This awareness informs our work – we take pride in the end results but consider the effects and requirements of our projects beyond their completion, well into the future. We practice environmental design based on a first principles approach, inspired by the natural environment.
Through interrogation, invention and collaboration we produce experiential spaces that demand reaction.

By converting the lobby of this well-known Viennese institution, Veech x Veech set a new standard for multimedia events spaces while delivering a new architectural identity for the venue.
With a brief to convert and modernise the existing lobby of the Studio 44 venue into a technologically advanced, multifunctional events space, Veech x Veech’s response was to create a 450sqm space that has a distinct personality of its own yet remains flexible enough to accommodate the needs of the corporate, cultural and professional communities that regularly use the space for events.
Veech x Veech’s approach was to integrate numerous technical upgrades into the new perimeter wall, floor and ceiling surfaces. The design team enhanced flexibility through innovative textile acoustic walls to screen digital media, a retractable bar, and rotating and sliding video panels that act as partitions as well as presentation screens.
A key element of the space is the programmable feature lighting, which includes three large, dramatic, custom-made lights that hover over the double-height atrium. These can be animated as well as change colour, providing the space with a central focus. The scheme was nominated for a prestigious German Prize for Lighting Design in 2014, in recognition of Veech x Veech’s technologically advanced lighting design.
