DREAM THE COMBINE IS THE CREATIVE PRACTICE OF ARTISTS AND ARCHITECTS JENNIFER NEWSOM AND TOM CARRUTHERS, BASED IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN.
Partners in work and life, we create site-specific installations exploring metaphor, imaginary environments, and perceptual uncertainties that cast doubt on our known understanding of the world.
Our work is deeply collaborative, and our studio name speaks to this process. Working with engineer Clayton Binkley and a trusted group of fabricators, we investigate the conceptual overlaps in art, architecture, and cultural theory through structures that disrupt assumed dichotomies and manipulate the boundary between real and illusory space. We are intrigued by forgotten places, sites of transportation, and unpredictable audiences. We consistently seek out spaces on the margins in our work.
We have been featured in The New York Times, Huffington Post, Vancouver Sun, FoxNews, CTV, Metropolis Magazine, Modern Midwest, The Architects Newspaper, and Africana: The Encyclopedia of the African and African-American Experience. They are finalists in the 2018 Young Architects Program sponsored by MoMA PS1.

We are all the parts of one entity, which we have to treat with honor and love. it’s all one unite system, where spirit and matters are closely interweaved. And the particular always reflects the general, where the man is united with the world to the very last molecule. According this philosophy Our creative work is based and our meaning content as well as attitude to work are formed. 20 years old experience let us to claim that such ideology has the right to exist. Willingness to live this day in conscious trim(be capable) lets to widen the borders of perception and action.
Architecting interior or subject, we are trying to create natural, laconic, environmental product with an intellect and feelings.
At the heart of each subject there is the culture of production, nature respect, gratitude to the material which gives the possibility to implement our major projects. The product which is the result of our creativity, first of all is an ecoculture bearer and spirituality.
We are feeling gratitude for those, who understand and share our principles, attitude and respect to this incredible world, where is all closely connected and an every action leaves a trace.

Meter by meter we create new worlds. With trees growing in a living room and lamps in the size of a man. Where the bathroom can be in a glass box and tiles that repeat the form of a bird. We think that things have to amaze. We create art pleasant not only to look at, but also to live in.

atelier oï - the apparition of emotions and of a contemplative mind frame are part of our creative process and approach.
atelier oï’s creations, always elegant and coherently conceived, express the desire for a harmonic and natural unity. They epitomize a “ po-ethic ” vision of creativity, to bring the individual closer to the elements, to nature, to the material and to emotions.
A rich spectrum of inspiration and different elements support the creative process: music, colours, light, scents and movement. Moreover, there is the possibility of drastically changing a perspective, of making unexpected use of a given shape, of venturing towards the thousands of facets of materials ...
The final purpose being to create a sense of pleasure and “ levitas ” by carefully addressing individual needs. Purist, minimalistic and always skilfully realised according to the most rigorous standards, atelier oï ’screations seduce by arousing emotions, memory, senses and conscience.

Whilst the Memphis movement in the eighties attracted enormous attention around the world for its energy and flamboyance, Ettore Sottsass was simultaneously assembling a major design consultancy which he named Sottsass Associati. The studio was established in 1980 and gave the possibility to build architecture on a substantial scale as well as to design for large international industries.
Sottsass Associati, primarily an architectural practice, also designed elaborate stores and showrooms for Esprit, identities for Alessi, exhibitions, interiors, consumer electronics in Japan and furniture of all kinds.
The studio was based on the cultural guidance of Ettore Sottsass and the work was conducted by the talent and energy of its associates. Over the years the associates came and went often to open their own studios, these were young architects and designers which included:
Johanna Grawunder, Marco Zanini, Matteo Thun, Aldo Cibic,
Marco Susani, James Irvine, Mike Ryan, Gerry Taylor, Christoph Radl, Mario Milizia and Christopher Redfern.
Sottsass Associati are presently based in London and Milan and continue to sustain the work, philosophy and culture of the studio.

Georges Mohasseb, thanks to his experimentation of materials and textures, looks always for the best possible and most sensible combinations to execute his designs.
The use of wood is always prominent and remains in many of Georges Mohasseb ’s designs due to its connectivity, liveliness and texture of this material.
Georges has constant search for materiality and immateriality that characterizes his designing approach for a strong identity for all and each project he has developed. Either they are architectural, furniture and/or lighting design projects, Georges’s main concerns is to create a limited number of timeless designs maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and a complex expression of materials through their sensory experience including the color, shape, texture and smell as well.
Georges Mohasseb is born in 05 June 1973 and lives in Beirut, Lebanon. Georges got MA architecture the Catholic University of America Washington DC, USA.
Georges has been working as an architect and designer for sixteen Years. Through his professional experience and intensive workshops.

About Mies van der Rohe
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969), a German-born architect and educator, is widely acknowledged as one of the 20th century's greatest architects. By emphasizing open space and revealing the industrial materials used in construction, he helped define modern architecture.
Our built environment is meant to be lived in. Mies' buildings, beyond merely affecting our lives, endow them with greater significance and beauty. His buildings radiate the confidence, rationality, and elegance of their creator and, free of ornamentation and excess, confess the essential elements of our lives. In our time, where there is no limit to excess, Mies' reductionist approach is as pertinent as ever. As we reduce the distractions and focus on the essential elements of our environment and ourselves, we find they are great, intricate, and beautiful. Less is more.
