WHAT IS 24° STUDIO.
24° Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice founded in 2008 by Fumio Hirakawa and Marina Topunova. Our works range in scale from architecture, interiors, installations, lighting and furniture design with a strong implementation of computational design and digital craftsmanship. Our designs integrate multiple perspectives through interdisciplinary collaborations leading to exciting and innovative applications for clients and end-users. We believe in hands-on approach in design process to understand problems in multiple scales and test ideas immediately.
24° Studio currently operates in Kobe City of Kansai area, Japan. Kobe is a picturesque city edged between mountains and the ocean. Our partnership with nature have established gradually and naturally by us cordially accepting our present surroundings and transcribing our awe of nature into our design works. In our studio, we investigate many means to bring nature into our daily life and thus we operate under the theme of “Living with Nature”. Our design process implements a strong connection between digital and analog methodology, and haptic experience that enriches our lives.
WHAT WE DO.
Our expertise ranges in various design areas including Architecture/Interior Design, Furniture/Product Design, Manufacturing/Fabrication, Graphics, Research, and Design Consulting.
We work within Japan as well as internationally. Please feel free to contact us.

I was born in Israel in the Negev desert area but grew up in Montevideo surrounded by the sounds and scents of the Rio de la Plata and the colorful folklore of Uruguay.
In my childhood I began my visual arts studies using drawing board and ink and studied painting under the guidance of Clever Lara.
I was also influenced by Nelly Halty's distinctive, adventurous style. I studied Graphic Design at Ort University in Montevideo. Art and design were always a great part of my life.
I worked in London, where I lived for six years, infected by the excitement of the contemporary art scene. There, I continued to develop my skills, pursuing studies in screen printing, painting, drawing and mixed media at Central St Martins College of Art.
Now I'm living in Israel and I keep on exploring, developing what I experience what I feel through the media reflected by the outside world and the inner self.

PATTU (Sumerian; a field, ready to be cultivated) is founded by Cem Kozar and Işıl Ünal in 2009. We are active in the fields of architecture, urban research, exhibition design and graphic design.
The core of each project consists of extensive research, interpretation of the subject, content design and development and we invest a lot of time into the implementation of these into the design of the space and experience.
We like to experiment with unconventional, new and fun ways of approaching design. Sometimes this is achieved by a simple scale (Key Buildings), a collage (Ghost Buildings), a computer software (Istanbul-o-matik) or a smartphone app (Invisible Istanbul). We like to work with multidisciplinary teams including programmers, musicians, sound designers, video and CG artists, urban designers or landscape architects. This approach allows us to have flexibility in creating communicative and interactive spaces, may it be the design of a small object or the spatial planning of a cultural quarter.
We have worked successfully with institutions like IKSV, Istanbul Archeology Museums, VitrA, Koç Foundation, Anamed and SALT.
