PERU STYLE WEEK: Yirko Sivirich - a style oriented to the details, under a sartorial, masculine and creative perspective.
Signature of the Peruvian designer Yirko Sivirich, of a style oriented to the details, under a sartorial, masculine and creative perspective.
About the designer
He studied Business Administration and, later, he started working for the prestigious Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna in Lima, awakening his passion for fashion. After the experience acquired in the field, he began his fashion design studies at the renowned Mod'Art Institute, which he graduated with great success. Soon he launched his first collection under his own brand, which opened the doors to important fashion shows in cities such as New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and Santo Domingo.
After taking his work to different countries and performing in more than 13 international fashion shows, in 2013 Yirko Sivirich presented for the first time his male line on a catwalk in his own country, forming part of Lima Fashion Week, the most fashionable fashion event of Peru, in the "New Talent" category. For that occasion, Yirko Sivirich presented his Fall-Winter 2013-2014 collection, the same one that had already been presented weeks before in New York, with which he was cataloged as one of the new promises of Peruvian fashion design. The same year, her Spring-Summer 2014 collection "Mi Ica Querida" was nominated as the best collection in the Luces Awards of the newspaper El Comercio, and a season later her "Sierra" collection was awarded the Barrington Award for the best LIF collection Week, adding one more achievement for his career as a designer.
To this, his participation in 2014 was added to Mercedes Benz Fashion Day in Bolivia and in the catwalk of Cali Exposhow, the most important fashion and beauty event in Latin America. In 2015, his brand took a new direction by focusing her style on tailoring and incorporating a new female line; During that year, he participated in catwalks such as BMW Fashion Show in Lima and Men's Fashion Week in Santo Domingo. A year later he was invited to Miami Fashion Week, Puerto Rico Fashion IN and Latino Fashion Week in Chicago, and he successfully presented his most recent Callao collection for the Spring-Summer 2017 season.

ESCUDO combines their passion for design with Peru’s vast cultural wealth.
Their soulful, one of a kind pieces are inspired by ancestral traditions, as well as a commitment to the development of artisanal techniques, a deep admiration of folk art, and the responsibility that comes with the utmost attention to detail.
Syncretism and cultural fusion work to forge the old with the new: fibres, knits, embroideries, seams, elements and colours that dance and converse, that bring us closer to the essence of our past and project us into the future.
PERU: THE LAND OF EVERYTHING
ESCUDO’s studio is located in the bohemian neighbourhood of Barranco, overlooking the Lima coast. It is here where they design and complete all their hand-made garments with the support of local knitters who assist and enlighten them with their extensive artisanal skills and knowledge. The Alpaca wool and cotton used are carefully woven using a hand-loom to make only the finest textiles.
ESCUDO brings together Peru’s master craftsmen and women, and it’s famous fibres.
In doing so, each piece of clothing has a storyline that can be traced back to the knitter who hand – wove it, the alpaca that gave up it’s coat, or even centuries back – to when these knitting traditions were born. Within each garment lies a story…and once worn, you become a part of it.

The designer Michael Sontag sees his work as an entity. Therefore he prefers not to define his fashion as a collection, but rather as his general “work”. Sontag sees his production process as fluent.
The transitions from season to season build upon each other. His presentations are snap-shots without a static character, instead of being reckoned as an attempt respectively an offer. With this approach the designer wants to blur the common fashion borders and create a generality detached from fashion parameters such as seasons, trends and consumer ages.
This approach is evident in the clarity of his designs. Designs which have never been drawn came to life on mannequins through Sontag’s drapery work.

<>GERMANY WEEK<> Vladimir Karaleev SS18 COLLECTION - a conceptual understanding of clothing as a medium.
Vladimir Karaleev’s work is characterized by intense study of the human body and its connections with clothing through experimental incision and innovative shape. A striking feature of both his women's and men's collections is the subtle yet decisive play with contrast of material. Influenced by contemporary art and architecture, Karaleev’s collections reflect a conceptual understanding of clothing as a medium as well as its functional purpose.
The individual forms of expression are propagated through fashion unobtrusively, without disregarding the balance between material, shape and detail. The garments underline the individuality of a person but he / she remains the focal point.
Vladimir Karaleev, born in 1981 in Sofia, Bulgaria, studied fashion design at the University of Applied Sciences (HTW) in Berlin, Germany. Following his studies, he founded his eponymous label in 2010 and was included within a short time in the official schedule of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin. In 2014 and 2017 he was nominated for the International Woolmark Prize. Vladimir Karaleev's collections are represented in numerous concept stores in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.

She followed it, moved to London and later did internships in Antwerp and in New York City. After graduating with an MA in Womenswear she received a lot of offers from several designers. The fashion industry in London was ready for Masha, but Masha wasn’t ready for that world. So she decided to do what nobody expected: she moved back to her hometown. - Metal Mag

The digital revolution opens up a whole new world of possibilities. It forces us to rethink clothing, textiles, and the fashion industry as a whole. Can we reconcile the digital world with our lives, our bodies, our senses and even our brains through interactive clothing or smart textiles?
An international award-winning design studio, Jasna Rok is on the cutting edge of fashion & technology, going against the fashion grain (runway, season, real sustainability, …) with its visionary yet pragmatic outlook on the role of fash tech in our daily lives, both for high-end brands and innovative tech companies.
Our team explores and implements the latest research and technology in the field of wearables, sensors, robotics, and electronics, combining these with futuristic haute couture and high-end design.
Because fashion is more than a gadget or a cover for ourselves, fash & tech can become an interactive extension of our inner selves and create a new kind of nonverbal communication using real-time feedback.
We bridge the gap between technological innovation and wearable future fashion.

Form Us With Love are in collaboration with TID Watches launching TID No.3, a lighter—optically transparent—version of the staple timepiece No.1. It is a third, in a series of material explorations, sharing an instantly recognisable case design by FUWL.
‘Our venture with TID Watches is built on a desire to experiment and challenge our designs. No.3 is a material reset, taking the silhouette stripping it down to a skeletal structure, which could be seen as an interesting measure to any design,’ says John Löfgren, Creative Director at FUWL and co- founder of TID Watches.
TID No.3 is made of a thermoplastic material, TR90, which in addition to being incredibly durable, is both exible and lightweight. This, 38 mm watch case comes in one clear nish, presented with the choice of seven well-curated watch-face colours and matching silicone wristbands.
‘By introducing a clear material, our ambition is to insert a playful yet minimal element, which is easy to combine with any colour or style,’ Ola E. Bernestål, CEO of TID Watches explains.
In polycarbonate, the case becomes less predominant and cleverly sets the tone for a more personal expression. The see-through frame perfectly adapts with any wristbands, adding a subtle youthful character, in rays of White, Black, Grey, Blue, Green, Pink and Orange.
With a steady development of the collection, FUWL and TID have over the past four years managed to build a platform of cases and wristbands, making hundreds of individual combinations available. The light appearance of No.3 pronounces that modularity, inviting the transparent case to be paired with coloured faces and independent styles of leather, nylon, twain and silicon wristbands.
‘It is the most affordable out of the three watches, which makes it an accessible part of the collection. By introducing a casual case, we want people to feel like they can explore personally preferred combinations as they like, in an ultimately more participatory fashion, ’ says Jonas Pettersson, CEO at FUWL and co- founder of TID Watches.
TID is a Stockholm based watch brand founded by Ola E. Bernestål, Petrus Palmér and design studio Form Us With Love’s Jonas Pettersson and John Löfgren. TID is the Swedish word for ‘time’, and accordingly, TID strives to offer iconic products with a real value over time. With a limited range of unique pieces, the brand produces outstanding products to wear every day.
Since 2012, this independent watchmaker has grown steadily to become a reputable international brand with an extensive geographic reach. With minimalism and simplicity, TID has found a growing fan base from Australia to Chile, London to Tokyo and back. A diverse audience who come together for the liking of the analogue, functional and clean-cut aesthetic.
